Background:
Dante was raised in a wealthy merchant family in the city state of Doma, once part of the Garlean Empire. At a young age, he was sent to a wealthy boarding school in Ishgard to learn the ways of the Western world. Having an inquisitive and curious mind, Dante soaked in the wealth of the world through the vast libraries at the Ishgard's renowned Saint Endalim Scholasticate. While he excelled at academics, as a foreigner, he never felt as though he felt in. His only reminder of his family back home was the beautiful snowfall that blanketed Coerthas year-round.

Upon hearing the recent news of the schisms occurring within the Garlean Empire, Dante worried for his hometown of Doma. Dante rushed home to look for his family, but upon his arrival, there was nothing but ashes of place he once called home. With no ties left, Dante embarked upon a journey to find his place in the world. Using his family's wealth, Dante traveled the world to train with the experts in the field of medicine, magic, logic, arithmetic, geometry, astrology, music, and combat. On his travels, he learned to learn to speak the language of the world and found that he could blend into almost any situation with the proper outfit, rhetoric, and credentials. While his social network expanded, he often felt empty inside, reminded of the fact that ties in the world were so fragile. Dante can often be found in bars drinking and travelling from town to town, meeting new people and telling them of the wonders that the vast world has to offer. Dante often works with the "Hall of the Novice" organization by participating in mentoring new adventurers through the dangerous dungeons of the world.
