Background: Jaehaerys came to Eorzea with Lady Yugiri as one of many refugees that escaped when the Empire destroyed Doma. Having lost contact with his friends, family, and his lover, Jae has been in grieving and sorrow for months. Jae overheard mention of a magical research team in the Mist, and for the first time since he arrived in Eorzea, he has found motivation enough to put down the bottle and join the land of the living again.
Jae left a message with Momodi for Lady Yugiri that he was off to the Mist to find this group of researchers and that if she needed him for anything, he would be there putting his aptitude for all things arcane to use, instead of rotting away in The Quicksand.
