Name: Desdea Custos


Background: Desdea was born in Ala-Mhigo only a small time before the Garlean Empire took over the city-state. She watched as her city was divided and that had to live under imperial rule for almost a decade. It wasn't until her father took advantage of yet another revolt to get his children out of the city, costing him his life in the process. Unlike her other six siblings, Desdea was always a free spirit, so when the made it to Limsa Lominsa she left them behind with her eldest brother and snuck off on her own. This was not an attempt to rebel or forget her family, just to make sense of everything she has seen, gone through, and to find a place for herself in the world.

Over the years she stayed close to her siblings, even if just letters, and made attempts to be present at family gatherings. As she traveled she learned and absorbed all the teachings and observed talent of other craftsmen, bartering and trading for pieces of machinery and magi-tech from battle fields. Attempting to take advantage of the chaos of Carteneau Flats she thought to retrieve some materials, only to be swept up in the fighting. A surviving combatant of the event she has little memory of the moments right before Bahamut's release, and after that. being an avid drinker she blame her shaky memory and tattoo that appeared sometime after to possibly being brought on from attempting to drink away the memories.

She is not an optimist, nor is she a pessimist. If anything she is a realist with hopeful ideals.

Archetype: Chaotic Good, She has seen the evils of what following "one man's good" can do.

Specialties: She is an artist and crafter, she is really good at figuring out how to fix problems that pertain to crafts. Although she never had the formal education and training as someone in the Ironworks might have had she is still very capable and proficient with the concepts of engineering, mechanics, machining, and even has a really great knack at getting old Magi-Tech to work as well as designing new pieces. The major issue being a proper shop and funding.

Interests: She likes mechanical problems, machines, and as much as she has a deep despise and vengeful streak for the Garlean empire she still finds their technology and methods intriguing and curious.
