The Narrative Coils of Sundown?

A number of people have yet to clear the Coils, and to be fair, the story behind the Coils is amazing. Sadly, like with the end of Realm Reborn, SE saw fit to throw long cutscenes right in the middle, and like the end of ARR people that already ran it will yell at people to skip the cutscenes and watch them later.

I'd like to put together an event where vets help newer players run the Coils, and let them watch the cutscenes so they can enjoy the entire story in sequence. Now the Binding Coil isn't bad at all, the Second Coil starts to load up on cutscenes, but the Final Coil is overstuffed with them. Amazing cutscenes, yes…but looooooong ones.

So, my idea is this…we pick a specific day and time, and run the event on three consecutive weeks, one for each Coil. Again, the first Coil won't take long, but that final one will run long enough to need a night of it's own. And this way, people have a week to run the lil unlock quest for the next Coil in line.

Despite being raid content, it shouldn't be hard if we run it unsynced. It's level 50 content after all. I believe the only requirement for the Coils is to have beaten ARR, then run the unlock quest.

So, what do people think of the idea? Any suggestions or requests for how to do it? A good day or time? Is there interest?

Excellent. I can run as AST, PLD or RDM, so there's a bit of flexibility.

I can help and have the following at or above 60 with gear (MNK is highest at ilvl 322 but rest are 60's): SCH (ilvl 256), SMN (forget ilvl but it's up there) PLD/DRK (about 260 ish each. one may be ilvl 266 and the other lower I forget). I ALSO can (maybe, I may ask for funds to cover this for material costs) craft the music answers/rise of the white raven/t5 music/t9). If running t12 for CS length: it gave me a FFDSHOW prompt the first time and it's a 4 minute CS. For reference, pre Heavensward, I had run and cleared t5 as a PLD, t7 as PLD/SCH, t8 as SCH, t9 MNK, t10 MNK. T13 I cleared at lvl 60. I would like to imagine that there would be a separate rule for music drops (to get my faded rolls, I used PF and got others theirs for all 3 turns using lootmaster before I grabbed it.)

Will be nice to have someone along with experience. I'll admit I haven't run Coils that much, and all my runs were unsynced at 60. So, I won't make the best teacher. XD

As for drops, music and otherwise, I figure normal bid rules would apply. This is so people can watch the story during first-time clears. I don't see us repeating any Turn for farming.

I am interested in joining since I've never completed the Coils, not too interested in drops, just the story and cutscences. I'll be running with RDM or MNK. It shouldn't matter too much if its unsynced. I can go almost any time between Tues-Thurs, I work most of the day the rest of the week.
